This year will be my 6th year with CedarCrestone. I have been with the company through major growth and many changes. I have stayed because of the awesome talent in my coworkers, the ability to learn new skills daily, and the continual challenges. CedarCrestone Managed Services faces many challenges in the Oracle/PeopleSoft application hosting business. We deal with complex problems related to both hardware and software on a 24x7 basis, all with the added difficulty of managing a largely remote, dual-shore workforce. As evidenced by our growth, we have been successful for one main reason...we continue to hire and develop some of the most professional and technically gifted talent in the industry. Technical skills alone are not enough to fit in here. A strong work ethic, sense of integrity, and a commitment to healthy communication and teamwork is what keeps our working relationships strong, both internally and with our clients. I can honestly say that this is the best group of individuals I have ever worked with in my 10-year Oracle/PeopleSoft consulting career.

I enjoy and continue to work at CMS as I have new, challenging, and interesting work everyday! My colleagues are some of the most knowledgeable people I have ever had the opportunity to work with. As a DBA, when I left my previous company, I was looking for a fast paced, technically challenging environment that would allow me the opportunity for intriguing work assignments and the ability to expand my marketability. At CMS, I found exactly what I was looking for. During my tenure, I’ve managed virtually every PeopleSoft application release from PeopleTools 7.57 through 8.49, along with managing weblogic instances from 5.1 up to the latest release of Weblogic 9.2. This is not accounting for the 500 plus databases we manage on a daily basis. The growth and technical opportunities are endless, I’m no longer so concerned with expanding my marketability as I’ve grown into this great culture that emphasizes team spirit and across the board open door policies which is hard to come by in most corporate environments.
